Kathmandu, Nepal — October 19, 2025 —— History was made this Saturday as Nepal hosted its first-ever international rap battle league, the Kurukshetra Rap Battle League, featuring head-to-head lyrical showdowns between top-tier rappers from Nepal and India. Held at Beta House, the event drew an enthusiastic crowd despite its limited seating, with tickets priced at NPR 300 online and NPR 500 at the door.

Organized by Street Hiphop, OTW Records, and Zeneration Studio, the event marked a new milestone in South Asian hip-hop culture — bringing competitive battle rap across borders into one arena.

The card featured three explosive battles:

  • Itish (Nepal) vs EMF (India)

  • CG (India) vs Koinch G (Nepal)

  • Nasto (Nepal) vs MC Kode (India)

Each round saw intense bars, clever wordplay, and powerful stage presence, with audiences rallying behind their hometown heroes. The event kicked off from 11:00 AM onwards and ran through the afternoon, creating an electric atmosphere for battle rap fans.

Local organizers say the Kurukshetra Rap Battle League is just the beginning, hinting at more international face-offs and league-format events in the near future.

With limited seating, ticket prices were set at NPR 300 (online) and NPR 500 (door), drawing a full house of enthusiastic fans who witnessed punchlines, wordplay, and crowd energy that rival global battle leagues.

Street Hiphop, a platform dedicated to promoting authentic battle rap culture, emphasized its commitment to elevating Nepal’s rap scene through structured, competitive events. In partnership with OTW Records and Zeneration Studio, the Kurukshetra Rap Battle League was designed to bring underground talent to the forefront of the South Asian hip-hop movement.

“This is just the beginning,” said a representative from Street Hiphop. “Kurukshetra aims to be the premier battle platform in South Asia — uniting artists, fans, and communities through pure lyrical warfare.”

Organizers confirmed that future editions of the Kurukshetra League are already in the works, with plans for expanded matchups, international guests, and even larger venues.

Special recognition goes to Aaditya Shrestha aka Hyaastyag Antaare , one of the founding members of Street Hiphop, whose dedication, vision, and relentless effort were instrumental in bringing this historic event to life.
