On Tuesday, October 28, 2025, NVIDIA announced a $1 billion equity investment in Nokia. This investment will give NVIDIA about 2.9% ownership in the company. The offer was made by NVIDIA as part of its plan to expand its influence in the telecommunications industry, focusing on AI and next generation wireless technology.

The partnership between NVIDIA and Nokia will center on AI-RAN (Artificial Intelligence–powered Radio Access Network). Both companies plan to jointly develop and deploy AI-native mobile networks, work on 6G development, and improve data center integration through AI networking solutions.

Nokia plans to use the investment funds to speed up its strategic goals, support connectivity for the AI Supercycle, and strengthen its presence in the AI and cloud market.
