The Grand Finale of the inDrive ICT Award 2025 will be held tomorrow in Kathmandu on a Friday, marking the end of the most significant and prestigious technology award program in Nepal.
The ICT Award, now in it's tenth edition, will be held at The Plaza, Pulchowk, where excellence in the information and communication technology sector will be recognized across 17 categories, including 16 national awards and one international honor.
Organized by Living with ICT since 2016, the ICT Award program has completed a six-month selection process that spawns from open nominations, jury evaluations, public voting all the way to multiple pre-events. This year, the organizers have received over 750 applications, which have been scrutinized by the jury panel of 14 national experts and 4 international experts, supported by a 15-member advisory committee.
Award categories include startups, innovation, digital governance, and digital education. Notable individual recognitions include awards for Entrepreneur, Pioneer, Professional Excellence, Nepali Diaspora, and the Ncell Woman Icon ICT Award. In addition, the most successful and outstanding startups in all seven provinces will be given the Province Startup ICT Recognition 2025. Simultaneously, the best startup in the SAARC nations will be given the South Asia Startup ICT Award, hence drawing attention to the increasing regional tech repute of Nepal.
Living with ICT and ICT Foundation Nepal are coming together to host the grand finale, where over a thousand participants are expected, including government officials, tech leaders, investors, entrepreneurs, and members from the Nepali diaspora, all under one roof. The title sponsor for the event will be inDrive, and NepalPay QR, TingTing, Sasto Tickets, Model Institute of Technology, and Kathmandu Model College will co-sponsor.
The ceremony is going to be live on Himalayan Television, among other platforms. Cultural performances will be featured during it, too. In a speech at the event, the organizers called the ICT Award an important platform for innovation, investment opportunities, and digital transformation and an important milestone in the tech ecosystem of Nepal.
