With a lot of promise: Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge
The fast, powerful, and beautiful Galaxy S7 phone is definitely 2016's all-around phone to beat. Almost everything about the 5.5-inch S7 Edge excels from the inside out, and Samsung has refined the extra navigation software that dresses up the screen's physical curves. The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is a big upgrade over last year's S6 Edge, with nearly every element altered and upgraded in some way, showing the brand is still working out how to best position the jewel in its smartphone crown. Given the S6 Edge swept up nearly every best smartphone award in 2015, will the S7 Edge really be able to match up? Technology     GSM / HSPA / LTE

After endless months of speculation, the collaboration between HTC and Facebook has finally been revealed to the world. It's not a Facebook Phone per se, it's simply a skinned Android smartphone that just so happens to bestow deep social media integration upon the OS, a move which makes the First -- as well as future devices that feature the newly announced Facebook Home interface -- an appropriate candidate for the term. On the spec sheet, the First isn't going to take anybody's breath away: it's a midrange phone with 1.4GHz dual-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB RAM, 5MP rear camera and 1.6MP front-facing cam, Android 4.1 and a 4.3-inch 720p display. At 125.6 x 64.93 x 8.96mm and 3.37 ou

Among other handsets, this month saw chatter for a number of long-rumored devices, including the Facebook phone, Amazon Kindle phone, and Motorola X-Phone: HTC Myst, aka "Facebook Phone" : The rumored Facebook phone may ultimately prove to be more of a Facebook experience and not one particular piece of hardware. Facebook has scheduled an Android-based event for April 4 where it will introduce its "new home on Android." Details surfacing today suggest that Facebook will place the social network front and center on a smartphone and skin the overall experience around apps and services. Reportedly, the smartphone will run Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and feature a 4.3-inch 720

The project, launched on Kickstarter, claims to be “the smallest emergency phone charger”. Its 220mAh battery could in theory charge a smartphone to up to a seventh of its capacity. Makers Devotec, who want to raise funds for testing, manufacture and certification, claim it “could give you around 20 - 30 minutes extra talk time, or up to a few hours more standby, depending on how you use your cell phone”.The Fuel uses a microUSB charger, which is standard on all smartphones except the iPhone.
